BMX biker launches over Bethel skate park

BMX Biker – This shot was taken in Bethel, Maine at their skate park. While photographing this session for JJC PhotoGraphic one of the athletes attempted to land a vertical 360 out of the bowl. It was a particularly harsh landing which resulted in an emergency room visit. The ankle was pretty much folded in half – taco.

I love to be part of this kind of work. It is exhilarating for all parties. You know, like attending a rock concert where the band feeds off the audience which feeds off the band which feeds off… While shooting on location it’s a good idea to have some basic understanding of first aid.
